-Joel Hodgson & crew riffed on Santa Claus Conquers the Martians in a 1991 episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Comedy Central. When they re-formed as Cinematic Titanic years later they decided to re-visit the movie again without being restricted by TV broadcast standards.

-Lou Harry wrote a book based on the movie in 2005, from the perspective of a now adult Girmar who has taken over her father's position as the Ruler of Mars. Written as a satirical parody, the book also included a copy of the movie on DVD.
